In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
