▼ 15 The Hijjr Valley
Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
