Say thou: who guardeth you by night and by day from the Compassionate? Yet from the remembrance of their Lord they avert themselves! 42 Do they have any gods who would protect them against Us? They have no power even to help themselves; nor do they enjoy Our support. 43 Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win? 44 Tell them: "I only warn you by the Revelation." But the deaf do not hear the cry when they are warned. 45 yet if even a breath of your Lord's punishment touched them, they would say, "Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers." 46 And We shall set up the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection – therefore no soul will be wronged in the least; and if a thing is equal to a grain of mustard seed, We will bring it; and We are Sufficient to (take) account. 47 To Moses and Aaron We granted the criteria of discerning right from wrong, and We gave them the light and a reminder to the pious ones 48 Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive. 49 This is a blessed reminder that We have revealed to you. Will you then reject it? 50
