The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
