Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 [This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then He established His dominion over the Throne. No one besides Him is your guardian or intercessor. Will you then not take heed? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 Who made good everything that He has created, and He began the creation of man from dust. 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 Then He created him and (caused the angel to) breathe into him his (created) spirit. He gave you eyes and ears, and hearts, yet little do you thank. 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "[One day,] the angel of death who has been given charge of you will gather you, and then unto your Sustainer you will be brought back." 11
