And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
