And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
