The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
