Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
