And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
