Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HaMeem. 1 I call to witness the lucent Book, 2 behold, We have caused it to be a discourse in the Arabic tongue, so that you might encompass it with your reason. 3 And verily, [originating as it does] in the source, with Us, of all revelation, it is indeed sublime, full of wisdom. 4 Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun 5 How many a prophet did We send among the men of old! 6 but not a Prophet came to them, without they mocked at him; 7 So We destroyed far more powerful (nations) than they. The example of earlier people is there. 8 And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them." 9 (It is) He who made the earth to be a cradle for you and made in it ways for you, in order that you are guided. 10 And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth; 11 and who created the pairs, all of them, and appointed for you ships and cattle such as you ride, 12 That you may firmly sit on their backs, then remember the favor of your Lord when you are firmly seated thereon, and say: Glory be to Him Who made this subservient to us and we were not able to do it 13 To our Lord we shall all return". 14 And they assign to Him a part of His servants; man, to be sure, is clearly ungrateful. 15
