The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and extended shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For those on the right. 38
