Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
