The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
