The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? 7 Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
