Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 And a multitude from the later generations. 40 As for the People on the Left: how miserable will be the People on the Left! 41 They will live amid the scorching, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor agreeable. 44 They had lived in luxury before this 45 and persisted in heinous sins. 46 They used to say: “What! Once we are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, shall we still be raised to a new life from the dead? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients' 48 Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples 49 shall be gathered together to the appointed time on a known Day' 50 Then you people who had gone astray and rejected the Truth 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 "And drink Boiling Water on top of it: 54 "So you will drink (that) like thirsty camels!" 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth? 57 Behold! that which ye emit. 58 Did you create it, or are We the Creator? 59 It was We who decreed death among you. We will not be surpassed 60 from replacing you by others like yourselves or changing your forms and re-creating you in forms that you know nothing of. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Just ponder over what you sow: 63 Cause it ye to grow, or are We the Grower? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). 65 (Saying): "We are indeed Mughramun (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! [See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 17, Page 219] 66 Rather, we have been deprived." 67 Have you ever considered the water which you drink? 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 If We will We can make it bitter, so why do you not give thanks? 70 Have you seen the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who have produced its tree or is it We who have produced it? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
