He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 You pay full attention, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Noble and pious. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
