In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
