38 verses, revealed in Medina after Iron (Al-Hadeed) before Thunder (Al-Ra'ad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). 1 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds and believed in what has been sent down upon Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) – and that is the truth from their Lord – Allah has relieved them of some of their evils and refined their condition. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth their parables for mankind. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 Anon He shall guide them, and shall make good their state. 5 And He shall make them enter the Garden; He shall have made it known unto them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 As to those who disbelieve, perdition lies in store for them and Allah has reduced their works to nought. 8 This is because they disliked what Allah has sent down – He has therefore squandered all their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 That is because Allah is the Protector of those who believe, and because the unbelievers shall have no protector for them. 11

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
