Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
