The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
