The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and the day in splendour 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 He verily will be content. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
