The Poets (Alshu'araa')

227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are verses of the clear Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
