Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
