Verily Ibrahim was a pattern, devout unto Allah, upright, and, not of the associaters. 120 Grateful for His favours: He chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 We gave goodness to him in this world, and in the Everlasting Life he shall be amongst the righteous. 122 Then, We revealed to you: 'Follow the Creed of Abraham, he of pure faith, he was not among the idolaters' 123 The Sabbath was only appointed for those who were at variance thereon; surely thy Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection, touching their differences. 124 Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright. 125 And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient. 126 And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire. 127 Indeed Allah is with the pious and the virtuous. 128
