And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
