Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
