Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
