۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 When Jesus came with clear proof (in support of his truthfulness), he said, "I have come to you with wisdom to clarify for you some of the matters in which you have disputes. Have fear of God and obey me. 63 For God, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship Him: that is a straight path." 64 Then the factions fell apart among themselves. So woe to the wrong-doers from the chastisement of a grievous Day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 On that Day, friends will become each other's enemies, except the righteous -- 67
