Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 Unto those [earlier] communities - some of whose stories We [now] relate unto thee - there had indeed come apostles of their own with all evidence of the truth; but they would not believe in anything to which they had once given the lie: thus it is that God seals the hearts of those who deny the truth; 101 And We found most of them not true to their words; and indeed We found most of them disobedient. 102 Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them: So see what was the end of those who made mischief. 103 Moses said: 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 "Proper it is for me that I say nothing concerning Allah but the truth. Indeed I have come unto you from your Lord with a clear proof. So let the Children of Israel depart along with me." 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 Then [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick and behold! it was a serpent, manifest! 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
