Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 1 His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent. 2 He only is the First and He only the Last, and He only is the Evident and He only the Concealed; and it is He Who knows all things. 3 He created the heavens and the earth in six days, and willed to the Throne. He knows what penetrates the earth and all that emerges from it; all that descends from heaven and all that ascends to it. He is with you wherever you are. Allah sees the things you do. 4 To Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. To Him all matters shall return. 5 He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts. 6 Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward. 7 And why should you not believe in God, seeing that the Apostle calls you to believe in [Him who is] your Sustainer, and [seeing that] He has taken a pledge from you? [Why should you not believe in Him] if you are able to believe [in anything]? 8 It is He who sends down upon His servant signs, clear signs, that He may bring you forth from the shadows into the light. Surely God is to you All-gentle, All-compassionate. 9 Why do you not spend for the cause of God when to Him belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those who spend for the cause of God and fight before victory will have higher positions than those who spend for the cause of God and fight after victory. However, to both parties God has promised good rewards. God is Well Aware of what you do. 10
