Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
