The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
