The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
