And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 The people of the city came to him rejoicing. 67 He said: "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 And fear Allah, and humiliate me not. 69 "Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 And surely it is on a road that still abides. 76 Verily, herein lies a message indeed for all who believe [in God]. 77 AND THE DWELLERS of the wooded dales [of Madyan, too,] were inveterate evildoers, 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
