(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And let him share my task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
