And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
