[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
