The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 and raised couches 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And made them virgins. 36 full of love, well-matched 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
