The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
