The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
