The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
