O YOU who have attained to faith! Seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: for, behold, God is with those who are patient in adversity. 153 Do not say that those who are killed in God's cause are dead; they are alive, but you are not aware of it. 154 And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, 155 who, when they are visited by an affliction, say, 'Surely we belong to God, and to Him we return'; 156 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. 157 ۞ Indeed Safa and Marwah are among the emblems of Allah: it is, therefore, no sin for him, who performs Hajj or `Umrah to the House of AIIah, to run between the two hills; and Allah knows and appreciates him who does any good with a willing heart. 158 Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse. 159 Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth), these it is to whom I turn (mercifully); and I am the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving -- upon them shall rest the curse of God and the angels, and of men altogether, 161 Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. 162 Your God is One God. There is no god except He. He is the Merciful, the Most Merciful. 163
