Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may exalt You much 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
