The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
