Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
