Highly blessed is He, Who, if He wills, could give you much more and better things than what they propose for you: (Not one but) many gardens, beneath which rivers flow; and big castles: 10 But nay! It is [the very coming of] the Last Hour to which they give the lie! However, for such as give the lie to [the announcement of] the Last Hour We have readied a blazing flame: 11 When it (Hell) sees them from a far place, they will hear its raging and its roaring. 12 And when they are cast into a narrow place in it, bound, they shall there call out for destruction. 13 "This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!" 14 Say: (O Muhammad SAW) "Is that (torment) better or the Paradise of Eternity promised to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2)?" It will be theirs as a reward and as a final destination. 15 Abiding there forever, they shall find in it all that they desire. This is a binding promise which your Lord has made. 16 And on the Day whereon He will gather them and that which they worship beside Allah and will say: are ye the ones who sent astray these My bondmen; or strayed they themselves from the way? 17 They will answer, "Glory be to Thee! We dared not take any guardian besides Thee: (they were misled because) Thou didst give them and their forefathers all the good things of life till they forgot the Admonition, and incurred the punishment. " 18 God will say (to the idolaters), "Your idols have rejected your faith. You cannot avoid their rejection nor can you find any help. Anyone of you who commits injustice will be made to suffer a great torment." 19 And We have not sent before you any apostles but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing. 20
