The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
