A multitude from the ancients. 39 and a large group of those of later times. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 Under the shadow of thick black smoke 43 Neither cool nor agreeable. 44 For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 45 and persisted in the great sin 46 It was they who said, "Shall we be resurrected after we die and have turned into dust and bones? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 you shall eat (the fruit) of the Tree of Zakkum. 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 54 Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease." 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 We have created you, so why do you not believe? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated 60 Had We so wished, nothing could have hindered Us from replacing you by others like yourselves, or transforming you into beings you know nothing about. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Have you considered the seeds you till? 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). 65 [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 So what is your opinion regarding the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 If We will, We would make it bitter, why then do you not give thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who have produced its tree or is it We who have produced it? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Glorify, then, (O Prophet), the name of your Great Lord. 74

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
