The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
